I hate job titles. I always have. My decade-long career was often about putting people in boxes, and I’m happy to say I'm done with that. I'm a Jack-of-all-trades, but I have one true passion: and that is coaching. My mission is to help people break free from “boxes” and discover their full potential.
I believe we find our purpose when we combine our passions and strengths and follow them to actions that make us feel valued. As a coach, I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve this by applying evidence-based Positive Psychology and Neurolinguistic Programming techniques.
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, where I earned my Honours degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Human Resource Management.
For almost a decade, I worked for one of the largest multi-national corporations in the world. I gained valuable experience in Onboarding and Recruitment, Learning and Development, and as an HR Business Partner.
But something was missing
Despite earning a good income, I felt I didn’t have a balance of what I wanted in my career and life. I burnt out, and eventually left the corporate world to focus on my growing family. This was one of the most rewarding, yet challenging chapters of my life.
A moment of clarity
During the delivery of my twin boys, I had a near death experience. After waking up in the ICU, I felt as if a “fog” was suddenly lifted: a fog that, prior to this event, surrounded my life and prevented me from seeing what really mattered. A palpable sense of clarity allowed me to then focus on what was truly important. It raised the question, "how can we be deliberate about creating a life of purpose, above and beyond the fog?"
